Water pumps
a necessity
©ART WAVES for Act&Help
The need for clean drinking water is still very significant in many villages in India.
A pump costs €600 and can meet the daily water needs of 100 people!
Since the creation of Act & Help, nearly 420 pumps have been installed in villages and a dozen old wells have been rehabilitated.
This tremendous work is carried out by an Indian team, initially coordinated by a Frenchman and now led by our partner AshaDiya Foundation.
Water is the source of life, but it can also be a scourge, often carrying many parasites, viruses, or bacteria (cholera, typhoid, hepatitis, poliomyelitis). Drawn from nearly 60 meters deep, the water is pure and safe to be used even in baby bottles. Potable and free water for all transforms the lives of entire villages.
Join this beautiful program and help spread the word.
A marble plaque, affixed to the base of the pump, bears your name or a short phrase of your choice, expressing the village's gratitude.
